JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of advertising and marketing campaigns set forth by the marketing plan to support sales activities through a variety of channels, including but not limited to television, print, direct mail and search engine marketing.This position supports Health Net's brand positioning and messaging in the marketplace. This position will work with internal departments and outside vendors through every stage of development from creative briefs to performance analysis.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports development of sales collateral/materials.
  • Becomes the expert on consumer and customer insights (needs, wants, perceptions, etc.) toward Health Net, and competitors both inside and outside the health insurance arena.
  • Develops marketing plans and oversees project management from initiation to delivery.
  • May implement the development of sales and promotional materials, along with radio, print and outdoor executions, as well as state- or federally-mandated forms and product descriptions.
  • Monitors and reviews reports, as well as traffic, and performance data regularly.
  • Conducts pre- and post-campaign financial analysis and develops plans for getting the most out of each campaign.
  • Develops appropriate tracking methods to analyze the results of each campaign from response rates to sales results.
  • Works with a creative team of designers and writers (internal and external) to ensure on-target, on-budget, and on-time delivery of high quality marketing solutions.
  • Organizes and maintains financial records.
  • Develops and maintains a quarterly marketing materials binder.
  • Supports Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing with miscellaneous/administrative projects as needed.
  • Participates in marketing planning meetings.


REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or Business.

 

Experience:

Minimum three years Marketing experience (may include relevant internship experience)

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of standard marketing and research/analysis principals and practices
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication skills, and outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience working with agencies and writing creative briefs
  • Ability to understand overall business communication needs and objectives, and execute a communication strategy that meets those needs
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand financial reports for marketing budgets and initiatives
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task without losing attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills
  • Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of media variables
  • Strong creative judgment and ability to manage creative process.

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
